Simon Boas

Biography

Simon Boas experiments with socially engaged art, design, and technology to examine language, attention, privacy, and consent, often working under the collective moniker Midgray. His work has been exhibited internationally through ACM SIGGRAPH, Eyebeam, the Institute of Network Cultures, Neural, Digicult, and Drain Magazine, and his research and artistic work has received awards from the Oregon Arts Commission and the University of California. He holds a MFA from the University of California, Santa Cruz and is currently based in Portland, Oregon, where he works as a creative technologist and educator.
