Exhibition Statement
The in between is located somewhere between two categories. It’s intermediate; a transitional space. To be in between something is to be in the middle position, or in a state that is neither one nor the other. In / Between is a Thesis Exhibition by recent MFA graduates of the Oregon College of Art and Craft low residency Master of Fine Arts in Craft and Material Studies. This final OCAC thesis exhibition is the culmination of two and a half years of intensive study and practice, and represents the final exhibition of thesis work from OCAC's century of creative pursuit. The diverse content and range of media on display reaffirms the resonant act of making and re-making in pursuit of creative achievement. Myra Lilith Day, Betsy Charlton Powell, and Kelda Van Patten present their work culminating from their individual thesis inquiries.Artists
